This washed processed coffee from El Salvador came to us by way of the folks at Falcon Coffee in the same shipment as we received our coffee from Honduras. Cafenor is a cooperative in El Salvador dedicated to sustainable practices and these beans come from a carbon neutral farm.
This is the second coffee from El Salvador that we have featured as a dark roast and it will have a particular appeal to both dark and medium roast drinkers. There is a brown sugar, honey and orange tint to this coffee and the darker roast gives it a hefty, graham cracker feel. This isn’t the heaviest dark roast you’ll find but it will have a rich taste with a dry finish.
Who will like this coffee
This is a stellar coffee for anyone who wants a darker toned but subtle and rich sweet cup of coffee. It won’t linger in your tastebuds too long but will still deliver a rich, full flavor you’d expect from a dark roast. Medium roast drinkers looking for a coffee with a bit more weight to it will find this appealing too.
