This washed processed coffee is sourced from the city of Matagalpa in Nicaragua and is an RFA certified coffee for its sustainable and socially responsible cultivation.
This coffee features a toasty, cocoa powder, graham cracker feel with a big, fuller flavored body and a low acidity. There is a malty, smooth finish with a smoky hint in the aftertaste.
WHERE THIS COFFEE WORKS
We've never featured a Nicaraguan coffee as a medium roast, only dark and light, and we hope running this as a medium roast coffee will open some minds. If you're open to a filling, bigger bodied but not punchy medium roast coffee, this is worth a try.
SUGGESTED PREPARATION
This coffee works great as drip but you might also get a smokier, bolder flavor out of a French Press too.
